President / CEO
- Established public relations/governmental
relations company in April 1995.
- Currently serving as Executive Director and
legislative agent for Kentucky Beer Wholesalers
Association. Oversaw and lobbied for passage of
House Bill 302 during the 1996 session of the
Kentucky General Assembly. The bill prohibits
sale of alcoholic beverages from out-of-state
companies directly to in-state consumers. Oversaw
and lobbied for the passage of Senate Bill 207
during the 1998 session of the Kentucky General
Assembly. The bill establishes a matching
contribution for the establishment of the Malt
Beverage Education Fund a not-for-profit
organization whose mission is to prevent and
eliminate under-age drinking. MBEC has now
donated over $1,000,000 to help sponsor such
programs as Project Graduation and Project Prom,
and has spent over $500,000 on a statewide
advertising program utilizing such noted
spokespersons as Tim Couch, Ashley Judd, Brian
Littrell, and "First Ladies" Glenna
Fletcher and Mary Karen Stumbo. Oversaw the
legislative agenda in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003,
2004 sessions of the Kentucky General Assembly.
- Currently serving as a communications consultant
and legislative agent to The Red Mile, a
standardbred racetrack located in Lexington, Ky.
Oversaw all legislative agenda for 2002, 2003,
2004 session. Passed legislation enabling the
first Quarter Horse racemeet in the track's
history.
- Currently serving as a public relations
consultant and legislative agent for Appalachian
Racing Association, located in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Oversaw all legislative agenda for the 2000,
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 sessions of the Kentucky
General Assembly. Obtained significant tax
credits in each of the past two sessions,
including a permanent tax credit in 2004.
- Currently service as legislative agent to
Player's Bluegrass Downs, located in Paducah, Ky.
Oversaw all legislative agenda for the 2003 and
2004 sessions of the Kentucky General Assembly.
Passed significant legislation in 2004 that will
make a tax credit permanent. Currently working on
establishing "racetrack extensions" in
several markets.
- Currently serving as legislative agent for Codell
Construction, located in Winchester, Ky. Oversaw
and lobbied the passage of House Bill 347 in the
2001 session of the Kentucky General Assembly,
which created fair competition and bidding on
capital construction projects for municipalities.
Oversaw full legislative agenda in 2002, 2003,
2004, and currently provide public relations
expertise in many other projects.
- Currently serving as legislative agent for the
Kentucky Concrete Pavers Association, located in
Frankfort, Ky. Work closely with the Kentucky
Department of Transportation on many current and
planned road projects to secure more concrete
pavement in the Commonwealth. Oversaw all
legislation pertaining to transportation in the
2003, 2004 sessions of the Kentucky General
Assembly.
- Currently serving as legislative agent for
Bluegrass Orthopaedic Surgeons, located in
Lexington, Ky. Work closely with the Cabinet of
Health Services on Certificiate of Need and other
pertinent legislation. Oversaw all legislative
activity in 2003, 2004 sessions of the Kentucky
General Assembly.
- Currently serving as the legislative agent for
Boone County Fiscal Court, located in Northern
Kentucky. Work closely with several state
agencies, including the Department of
Transportation, on key issues. Oversaw all
legislative activity in 2004 session of the
Kentucky General Assembly.
- Currently serving as legislative agent for the
Kentucky Court Reporters Association. Oversaw and
lobbied the passage of House Bill 537 during the
1998 session of the Kentucky General Assembly.
The bill sets criteria which attorneys must meet
when a court reporter takes a deposition. Oversaw
full legislative agenda in 2000, which included
the introduction of a "certification"
bill. Monitor legislation in 2001, 2002, 2003,
2004. Oversight of the KCRA Seminar Series, which
includes meetings in the Spring. The last two
events have been two of the best meetings in
recent history.

- Established company in December of 1992.
- Began four remote facilities throughout Kentucky
Corbin, Maysville, Jamestown, and
Pineville.
- In addition to development, responsible for
day-to-day operations and oversight of more than
80 employees.
- Began, sold, and co- produced weekly television
show, "Raceline Kentucky," that
promotes thoroughbred racing in five states and
over 2 million households.
- Responsible for all legislative agenda on state
level and communication with city councils on
local level.
- Founded $1 million Kentucky Cup at Turfway Park.
